Research summary
During her second Canada Research Chair term, Dr. Lisa Forman will continue her impactful research on the right to health, by exploring two primary questions:
- What can we learn from innovative, on-the-ground strategies about the capacity of this right to advance equitable universal health coverage?
- Can rights-based universal health coverage help advance global health equity in an age of rampant inequality and democratic retreat?
Forman will lead interdisciplinary research teams to conduct mixed-method, in-country research to produce new knowledge capable of addressing one of the major health equity challenges of our time.
