In July 2016, the Steering Committee approved the 15th-year evaluation report. The full report and management response are now available on the program’s publications page.
The report assesses the relevance and performance of the Canada Research Chairs Program, and presents seven recommendations for improvement. This includes recommendations on ensuring institutions are more accountable in meeting their equity targets by requiring them to adopt nomination and recruitment practices that are more transparent and equitable.
