Changes in Canada Research Chairs nomination instructions


Please note that changes have been made to the application forms and instructions for both new and renewal Canada Research Chairs nominations (including the CV Instructions).

The forms and instructions were recently reviewed and revised in an effort to:

  • clarify what information is being requested from institutions and nominees;
  • ensure that the terminology in the instructions corresponds with that of the program’s evaluation criteria; and
  • in some areas, additional requirements were added to ensure  peer reviewers have the information they need to make an informed funding recommendation. 

These changes take effect May 1, 2015.

Changes to the Chairs website

Please note that the Nominate a Chair, Renew a Chair and Peer Review pages of the Chairs website have also been updated. These pages were changed to clarify the application and peer review processes and address gaps in the literature.

Institutions should carefully review these pages prior to submitting a Tier 2 justification and prior to the next deadline date, October 9, 2015.
