Research summary


The Canada Research Chair in Media Literacy and Human Rights is focused on the analysis of the media literacy practices used by human rights groups and on the assessment of human rights activists’ media literacy. Its approach positions media literacy as a tool used by human rights groups involved in social, cultural and political struggles. The research serves as a bridge between sociology and social movements, and communication and education studies, ensuring the theoretical and pedagogical alignment of these fields.
