As Canada Research Chair in International Comparative Higher Education, Dr. Olivier Bégin-Caouette studies the interactions between the globalization of higher education and the strategies deployed by institutions and their communities in various geographic, linguistic, political and economic contexts. Bégin-Caouette and his team are comparing the manifestations of international competition dynamics within higher education systems in emerging and developed countries. They are exploring how institutions’ international activities apply an ethical vision of higher education founded on mutual understanding. Fostering a perspective that transcends borders, their work will help consolidate the field of higher education in Canada and abroad.
