Research summary
We are experiencing a period of major changes in health inequities. Dr. Arjumand Siddiqi’s research will advance from general questions about health inequities to investigating how and why these major changes are occurring, as well as possible solutions. It will focus on the following emerging issues:
- worsening population health and widening health inequities
- race/ethnic health inequities in Canada
- the relationship between social and economic inequities and artificial intelligence algorithms that are being applied to understand health.
The research team includes students, post-doctoral fellows, and research assistants and analysts. They work together to inform science, decision-makers, and the public.
