Research summary

Though an essential need, eating is also a social act. Dr. Noémie Carbonneau, Canada Research Chair in the Psychosocial Determinants of Eating Behaviours, would like to deepen our knowledge of the psychosocial aspects of eating behaviours, with a view to fostering healthy dietary habits among the population.

Carbonneau and her research team are using a nuanced approach that simultaneously considers the quality of our dietary intake and our psychological relationship with food. Their work will help produce new scientific knowledge and develop new pathways for optimizing efforts to promote healthy eating.
