Consumers’ habits are changing as they become more concerned about sustainable development and technologies evolve. Dr. Myriam Ertz, Canada Research Chair in Technology, Sustainability and Society, is studying how new technologies contribute to sustainable development to optimally meet human needs.
She and her research team aim to link advanced technologies and sustainability to satisfy human needs. They are also evaluating the sustainability of advanced technology infrastructures to identify the most sustainable ones. Their work will provide insights into how we can use new technologies to motivate both consumers and producers to adopt more sustainable practices.
