Recognizing the importance of public safety is essential for guaranteeing people’s well-being within a community. Public safety encompasses various elements, including telehealth, emergency response, disaster management and emergency medical services. As Canada Research Chair in Enhancing Public Safety through the Internet of Everything (IoE) and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Abdellah Chehri aims to offer an overarching vision of future health care and public safety systems supported by the Internet of Things, the Internet of Everything, and artificial intelligence (AI).

To explore this vision, Chehri and his research team are developing cutting-edge applications in four fields: they seek to redefine the future of health care, revolutionize the public safety landscape using AI, make transportation systems safer, smarter and more reliable, and contribute to the future of natural disaster surveillance and forecasting. Ultimately, their work will help make Canadians safer and enhance their well-being.
